A Spring lover scorned

Remember the other day when I was all "OH MY GOSH SPRING IS HERE AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER AND IT'S THE BEST DAY OF MY LIIIIIIIFE!!"

...if you don't remember that, maybe >this post< will jog your memory.

Well, I have been scorned by spring.  SCORNED, I tell you!!

Because you know what happens when spring comes?  Wind.  Pollen.  ALLERGIES.

And would you like to guess what has turned my happy baby into a snotty, cranky MESS?

Yep.  SPRING.

I AM ANGRY AT YOU, SPRING.

^That's an exact reenactment of what happened when Gibson woke up with awful allergy symptoms.  After a night of not sleeping because of the allergies.

So now we get to do Claritin once a day, saline nasal spray once a day, and Gibson has to be bathed and have his clothes changed every time we come in from playing outside.  And you may not know this, but getting his clothes changed is PURE TORTURE to Gibson.  And that means that it is also PURE TORTURE to the person changing Gibson's clothes by default.  Yaaaaay.  *sob sob*

At first I was happy that Gibson isn't sick...but I think a cold might be easier than seasonal allergies.  Because I have allergies, and I know that they aren't a walk in the park.

And poor Gibson can't even blow his own nose, so more often than not he ends up trying to lick it clean.  And then he rubs his hand through the snot and into his eyelashes and hair, which are now covered in boogers.  Unfortunately, having his nose wiped is even more tortuous than having his clothes changed...so he is constantly covered in snot.

If you come to our house, don't judge us for the hot mess that Gibson has become.  It's not our fault.  Blame the wind.  And the pollen.  And Gibson's genes.

And also, if you come in the middle of the night, don't worry.  That's not a freight train in my bedroom.  It's my husband, who has also been visited by the allergy fairy and decided to start snoring.  For the first time ever.

And I just looked at the PollenCast for our area.  The pollen levels will be high for the next four days.  HOORAY!  MORE SNORING AND SNOT-COVERED BABIES!

I can't wait.

Also, get your cute little tush on over to the ScriptureArt giveaway and enter!  You can enter through the end of the day on Saturday.  And make sure to share it with your friends!

Also also, remember to vote for my blog everyday!  If you want.  I'm not going to force you to do it or anything.  But if you don't vote, I will let you be in charge of keeping my kid's nose clean.  And believe me, YOU DON'T WANT THAT.
