Me and my sinus infection

I have, yet again, failed at blogging regularly.

But I have a reason this time!  I've been sick for approximately five thousand years.

Not an exaggeration.

Also I just tried to spell exaggeration like this: exxageration.

So now you know that I'm not lying about being sick.  I would NEVER do that in good health!

Anyway, I have the sinus infection that never quits.  I mean, perseverance is a good quality.  Unless you're a sinus infection.

Our days have been filled with snot, headaches, and lots of Netflix.  YAY.

Also, Danny has worked most nights this week, which means that my adult interaction was pretty much limited to Wednesday.  Which means that I'm dangerously close to speaking in a dialect only understandable by toddlers.

I'M SO READY TO BE COMPLETELY BETTER.  RIGHT NOW.

Did you know that it's really hard to sleep when you can't breathe?  Because it is.  I'm so tired.

Also I spent Thanksgiving in the dark in my bed watching Gilmore Girls while both of our families had jolly good fun in my living room.  Gibson was adorable...or so I heard.

It was a sad Thanksgiving.

My extended absence from blogging means that I have approximately one million things I want to write about!  I thought about doing the longest random information post of all time, but I'm pretty sure that would overwhelm all of us.  So I'll just tell you a couple of things.

I've been trying to get Gibson to say his name.  It usually goes like this:

Me: Say "Gib"
Him: Dih!
Me: Say "son"
Him: NO!
Me: Say "Gib"
Him: Dih!
Me: Say "son"
Him: NO!
Me: Say "Gibson"
Him: DEE DEE!

...he calls himself "DeeDee."  It's adorable.

Also he can count to 10!  Usually he forgets seven, and two and three sound the same.  And sometimes he gets really excited and just says "TEN!  TEN!  TEN!  TEN!"  But still.  So adorable.

Colors are a new obsession in our house.  Almost everything is orange.  Sometimes he can identify blue and pink, but mostly everything is orange.

Gibson is currently wearing footie pajamas and a seersucker blazer.  I told him it was his fancy jacket, and now he knows how to say fancy!  Except he says it "Sancy."  <3

Danny and I are now "Da" and "Ma."  Also, Gibson still won't say "I love you."  I'm pretty sure he thinks it means goodbye...because whenever I tell him that I love him, he says "BYE!"

He knows so many letters.  Letters are ALWAYS GOOD AND FUN!  I made him a poster with all of the letters on it, and he wants to point at the letters ALL THE TIME.

Gibson has started asking for things nicely (ish) instead of screaming at me!  HOORAY!  Although sometimes he still screams at me, but I refuse to get him what he wants until he asks for it...I know he has the words to ask for milk, a snack, water, and help, which are the things he usually needs.  It was hard at first, because he cried a lot, but now he asks more often than not!

...this is a seriously great development.  He screams less, and I follow him around the house aimlessly less.  WIN WIN!

Okay, that's enough of that.  I'll return sometime soon (or maybe a month from now, who knows) and tell you even more fun things about my life!

TA TA FOR NOW!
